Barogo, App Access Disrupted Due to Data Center Error... 'Recovery Complete'
Immediate Recovery Actions Taken After Error... All Services Normalized by Noon
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Barogo (CEO Lee Taekwon) announced that it suffered about 70 minutes of rider app access disruption due to an unidentified error that occurred at 10:49 a.m. on the 4th at the LG Uplus data center.
It was explained that a server error occurred at the data center located in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, that morning, causing service disruptions for tenants such as Gabia. Barogo, as a user of Gabia's colocation service, experienced access issues for some rider app users.
Barogo immediately carried out recovery work after the error occurred and sequentially resumed services within 15 minutes. All services were normalized around noon, and related guidance was provided to users.
Currently, the Ministry of Science and ICT has launched an investigation into the error that occurred that day, and Barogo plans to actively cooperate with the investigation, including reporting the damage.

A Barogo official said, "This error occurred for some Barogo rider app users," adding, "We promptly carried out recovery work after recognizing the error to minimize damage and will do our best to stabilize the service."
