Ulsan Ulju-gun Dorae Park Transformed into a Forest Garden Playground
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Dore Park in Cheongnyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan City has been transformed into a forest garden playground, receiving great response from local residents.
Ulju-gun established an annual maintenance plan for urban parks within the jurisdiction and completed the maintenance work of Dore Park located in Sangnam-ri, Cheongnyang-eup last month.
This project was promoted as a pilot project to renovate the aging small urban park in accordance with the latest trend changes.
With a total project cost of 500 million KRW, the park, which previously had a sand floor, was removed and expanded into an eco-friendly children's play area, creating a forest garden playground that stimulates the five senses.
The newly renovated playground features various garden plants, a walking trail where visitors can enjoy the park's scenery, community tables, basket swings for children, and a cat-shaped combination play structure, all of which have become very popular.
