International Yoga Competition Held in Miryang ... Scheduled After Itaewon Mourning Period Ends

Miryang City announced on the 31st that it will hold the 5th 2022 Miryang International Yoga Competition under the theme "The Meeting of Yoga, Health, Art, and Culture" at the Miryang Arirang Art Center on November 12.
The Miryang International Yoga Competition consists of individual, 2-4 person, 5 or more team, and foreigner categories. A total of 52 teams with 140 participants took part in the preliminary round, and on the 29th, 29 teams were selected for the finals through video judging by the judges at the Miryang City Hall small conference room.
In the foreigner category preliminary round, a total of 11 teams submitted videos, and finalists from Canada, India, China, and Japan will express the beauty of yoga and engage in a passionate competition.
Additionally, to add enjoyment and increase concentration for spectators during the long competition, yoga musical drama (Virabhadra legend), fusion Korean traditional music performance (Imunse Yeongok), and dance play performance (Humanity's Arirang) are prepared during the event. Especially, Tibetan singing bowl therapy experience has been added to help relax the tense and stiff minds and bodies of both participants and spectators.
The competition will be held simultaneously online and offline, and anyone who loves yoga and visits the venue can watch it. It will also be broadcast live in real time on YouTube. During the live broadcast, viewers can send text votes for their favorite teams using the team participation numbers revealed, and the voting results will be reflected as 20% of the final score.
