Isu Chemical Expects to Supply Solid-State Battery Electrolyte Material Lithium Sulfide to Customers Within the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Isu Chemical, the only domestic company possessing hydrogen sulfide handling technology essential for all-solid-state battery processes, has revealed the current status and future goals of developing sulfide-based all-solid-state battery electrolyte raw materials.
Isu Chemical set up a booth at the '2022 Korean Chemical Engineering Society International Conference' held at BEXCO in Busan from the 27th to the 28th, sharing information on the development of sulfide-based all-solid-state battery electrolyte raw material technology with academics and industry professionals. Through the exhibition, they showcased samples of precision chemical products including lithium sulfide, TDM, NOM, and NDM, along with their physical properties. The event provided an opportunity to share directions for sustainable growth. Additionally, a recruitment briefing session was held for visiting students.
An official from Isu Chemical stated, "Since the second half of last year, we have started constructing a lithium sulfide demo plant at the Onsan factory," adding, "We expect to conduct test operations next month and begin supplying products to customers from December."
