Magnitude 4.1 Earthquake in Goesan, Chungbuk... "Largest Magnitude This Year"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At 8:27:49 AM on the 29th, the Korea Meteorological Administration reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 occurred 12 km northeast of Goesan-gun, Chungbuk.
The epicenter is located at 36.88 degrees north latitude and 127.89 degrees east longitude.
The KMA explained, "This information was automatically estimated using only the fast-moving seismic waves (P-waves)," and added, "Manually analyzed information will be additionally announced as earthquake information."
The instrumental intensity was measured up to 5 in Chungbuk.
