View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Jo Hanhee, director of the Korea Natural History Museum, has been elected as the next president of the Korean Museum Association. He will lead the association for four years starting January next year.
According to the Korean Museum Association, the association held an extraordinary general meeting at the National Museum of Korea on the 24th and elected Director Jo as the 12th president of the association.
Newly appointed President Jo has served as the chairperson of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Korea Committee, president of the Chungnam Museum and Art Gallery Council, and currently holds positions such as president of the Korean Museum Management and Marketing Society and president of the Korean Resource Recycling Science Education Society.
He expressed his thoughts, saying, "I will devote myself to raising the status of museums and art galleries in our country and to cultural development."
