Hospital that disclosed unvaccinated individuals' information... Accepts Human Rights Commission's recommendation for recurrence prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The National Human Rights Commission announced on the 24th that the director of Hospital A, who disclosed information about employees unvaccinated against COVID-19 without their consent, has accepted the recommendation to prevent recurrence.
Earlier, in June, the Human Rights Commission judged that the director's actions violated the right to self-determination over personal information as stipulated in Article 10 of the Constitution, and recommended measures to prevent similar cases from recurring. After receiving the recommendation, Hospital A reportedly took measures including ▲checking whether notifications or disclosures of the unvaccinated list were made without individual consent ▲reviewing whether the right to self-determination over personal information was violated by disclosing sensitive information to others during personal information handling procedures ▲establishing procedures for obtaining individual consent.
