Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation to Perform Traditional Martial Arts Demonstrations at Incheon International Airport Until the 27th
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Incheon International Airport Corporation, will present a traditional martial arts demonstration special performance titled "Higher, Together, Again!" at Incheon International Airport from the 25th to the 27th. The performance will last about 45 minutes starting at noon.
The event will feature traditional martial arts disciplines such as Muye Sip Pal Gi, Taekwondo, and Taekkyeon, along with various artistic performances. On the first day, the 25th, the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation's arts troupe will open with the Jindo Drum Dance, followed by tap dance and Muye Sip Pal Gi demonstrations. On the second day, the 26th, a dynamic stage will be created by combining hip-hop, b-boying, and Taekwondo demonstrations. The final day, the 27th, will showcase a spectacular performance blending brass band, locking, and Taekkyeon, bringing together martial arts, music, and dance. Locking is a street dance known for its sudden stops, like a lock snapping shut.

Woo Hyejeong, head of the cultural projects team at the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, said, “We want to use the increasing trend of inbound tourists as an opportunity to promote our cultural heritage,” adding, “We hope that the energetic Korean traditional martial arts performances will not only leave a positive impression of our country on airport users but also contribute to the recovery of the travel market.”
