'Lowest-ranked' Ko Jin-young "Withdraws from BMW Ladies Championship 3R"

The LPGA Tour announced on social media on the 22nd that "defending champion Ko Jin-young withdrew from the BMW Ladies Championship (total prize money $2 million) due to injury." Ko Jin-young had taken time to recover from a wrist injury since the CP Women's Open last August and returned to competition after about two months, but ultimately gave up before the third round of the tournament.
In the first round, Ko Jin-young collapsed with 3 birdies, 6 bogeys, and 1 quintuple bogey, shooting 8-over-par 80, her worst score since joining the LPGA Tour. She lost 7 more strokes in the second round the previous day, finishing 15-over-par 159 over two days, ranking last among 78 players.
