[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Gijang-gun will hold the “8th Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival” for two days on the 22nd and 23rd at Jwagwangcheon in Jeonggwan-eup.

This festival was prepared to raise awareness of the value of Jwagwangcheon, a local landmark, and to realize a happy city.

The festival offers eco-friendly experience events such as ▲street parade ▲Gijang family walking contest ▲flower festival ▲flea market, which all family members can participate in and enjoy together, as well as opportunities for future talents to showcase their hidden skills through ▲drawing contests ▲writing contests ▲English speech contests.

On the first day of the festival, the 22nd, from 1:30 PM, the “1318 Hallo Hallo Youth Gathering,” where youth can freely express their talents and abilities, will be held under the concept of “A world where youth are the protagonists, Hallo Hallo Kingdom.”

The Hallo Hallo Youth Gathering Promotion Committee has recruited youth and staff to plan and operate the festival since July, and an operating team of about 700 people will oversee the event.

The program includes various attractions and activities themed around Halloween, such as a landmark photo zone, street busking, career and college entrance experience, and a performance festival. Rapper Raewon’s congratulatory performance is also scheduled for 8:30 PM.

On the second day, the 23rd, the festival finale will be marked by various fringe performances by local clubs and the “Jeonggwan Power Concert” featuring invited singers Lee Seunghwan and Kim Taeyeon. The concert will start at 6:30 PM.

During the two days of the festival, “Creative Science Experience Learning” and “Gijang Family English Experience Learning” will be held at Witgol Park in front of Jeonggwan Children’s Library, where the whole family can participate together.

The science experience learning, composed of a future-opening STEAM experience zone, a happiness-filled science classroom, and a future science experience zone, will operate 15 experience booths including “UV Slime” and “Thrilling Wind Car.”

The English experience learning will feature 12 experience booths with native speakers under the theme “Time travelers journeying through spaces from ancient Gojoseon to the AI era.”

On one side of the event site, a promotional event for attracting the “2030 Busan World Expo” will also be held.

The Expo mascot “Boogi” photo zone, roulette events, resident participation quiz events, and signature campaigns are expected to continue the enthusiasm for attracting the Busan World Expo.

This festival aims to become an eco-friendly festival harmonized with nature, operating four waste stations including Central Park and Witgol Park for the continuous separation and collection of recyclables and general waste generated during the festival period.

A “Jupging Campaign,” a compound word of “jupda” (picking up) and “jogging” (jogging), which involves picking up street trash while walking or running, will be conducted, with the Saemaul Gijang-gun branch taking the lead in creating a trash-free festival.

A Gijang-gun official said, “This festival is significant as the first step toward an environmental festival,” and added, “We hope the small flutter of the environmental campaign will have a positive influence on other festivals as well.”
