Ministry of National Defense Holds Contest to Promote Integrity Culture

View original image[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] The award ceremony for the 7th 'Defense Integrity Essay Contest' was held on the afternoon of the 20th at the Army Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, a total of 149 works were submitted for this contest, which was conducted for Ministry of National Defense officials, soldiers, military personnel, and their families to promote a culture of integrity within the military.
The winning entries of this contest were 'An Honest Army, Colored with Integrity' (Sergeant Han Jun-bin, 32nd Infantry Division, Army - Grand Prize), 'Our Resolution' (Sergeant Lee Jeong-an, 21st Division, Army - Excellence Award), and 'It Was Never Mine' (Major Lee Chang-ho, 1st Logistics Support Brigade, Army - Excellence Award).
Additionally, the Encouragement Awards went to 'Integrity, It Was Neither a Distant Matter Nor a Difficult One' (Grade 7 Kim Dae-hyun, Defense Security Command), 'Self-Justification' (Major Kim Jun-hyun, 37th Division, Army), 'Cutting the Crooked Beard' (Corporal Baek Geon-hwan, Army Training Center), 'If My Heart Is Cloudy, The Whole World Is Cloudy' (Sergeant Seong Yun-ho, Defense Security Command), and 'To Become an Honest Soldier and an Honorable Soldier Dad' (Staff Sergeant Han Sang-yeop, 23rd Security Brigade, Army).
At the ceremony, presided over by Deputy Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-cheol, the Grand Prize winners received a certificate from the Minister of National Defense and a prize of 1,000,000 KRW; Excellence Award winners received a certificate and 500,000 KRW; and Encouragement Award winners received a certificate and 200,000 KRW.
