Two Indonesians Stated They Entered Country to Attend Olympic Committee General Assembly
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A fight broke out between Indonesians and Koreans in the Gangnam-gu area of Seoul.
On the 20th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that two Indonesian nationals and one Korean national were voluntarily taken in for questioning on charges of assault.
According to the police, at around 12:44 a.m. on the same day, two Indonesian nationals and one Korean national engaged in mutual assault at a bar located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The two Indonesians were smoking at the bar and got into an argument with the bar staff, and the Korean intervened, leading to mutual assault. The injuries were reported to be minor.
They were voluntarily taken in for questioning around 1 a.m., and after investigation, were released to go home. The two Indonesians reportedly stated to the police that they had entered the country as a secretary and an aide to attend the National Olympic Committees General Assembly held at COEX until the 22nd.

A police official said, "We requested their appearance for further investigation," adding, "We will find out the detailed circumstances through the investigation."
