Musinsa Boutique Sees Increase in Transaction Volume After Strengthening Overseas Luxury Goods Inspection System
Transaction volume in August-September up 361% compared to previous period... Monthly users up 88%
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Musinsa announced on the 19th that its transaction volume and number of users have significantly increased since strengthening the inspection procedures for authentic distribution of overseas luxury brands.
According to Musinsa, the transaction volume of Musinsa Boutique, the luxury specialty store, increased by 361% in August and September compared to the same period last year, and the monthly number of users rose by 88%.
In April, following a dispute over the sale of counterfeit Peer of God Essential T-shirts on Naver Cream, Musinsa announced that it would strengthen its luxury inspection procedures.
Since then, Musinsa has partnered with the Trade-related Intellectual Property Protection Association (TIPA) under the Korea Customs Service to conduct thorough inspections of overseas luxury brands, and has expanded partnerships with brand headquarters and official boutiques.

A Musinsa Boutique official stated, "We sell authentic products supplied through official distribution channels such as brand headquarters after systematic and strict inspections," adding, "We plan to sign additional agreements with 10 brands by the second half of next year."
