Mayor Kevin Muldoon visited the Typhoon Observatory to observe the site of division and peace, then received an explanation honoring the activities of 'Reckless,' a military horse active during the Korean War, at the Gorangpo Port Historical Park where the statue of Reckless stands.
At this event, Kim Deok-hyun, Governor of Yeoncheon County, emphasized to Mayor Kevin Muldoon that "Yeoncheon County is the only area where all 16 UN troop-contributing countries engaged in combat, making it a justified location to hold the UN Forces Participation and 70th Anniversary of the Armistice Ceremony."
