Coupang "Eco-friendly Rocket Delivery with Electric Vehicles in Jeju... Using Recyclable Packaging Bags"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Coupang announced on the 17th that it is providing eco-friendly Rocket Delivery services, including electric vehicle deliveries, in Jeju.
Opened in July, Coupang Jeju 3 Camp is an integrated electric vehicle delivery center designed with eco-friendly delivery in mind from the construction stage. 50% of the total delivery vehicles are electric Coupang cars.
The delivery center is equipped with a ceiling-mounted charging system, allowing charging at any time. Before and after delivery tasks, Coupang Friends tag a card on the terminal to connect the ceiling-mounted charger to the vehicle for charging.
Efforts are also being made to reduce environmental impact during product packaging. From the packaging stage, a boxless delivery system has been introduced, with 85% of all deliveries made without boxes. Rocket Fresh Bags and recyclable packaging bags are used to reduce waste generation.
