Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Holds Meeting to Support Establishment of Construction Skilled Workers' Cooperative
On the 14th, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation held a revitalization meeting at the Suwon Convention Center to support the establishment of a cooperative for construction technicians in the province.

On the 14th, the foundation held a meeting at the Suwon Convention Center with over 50 attendees including construction workers, trainees in construction occupations, and related personnel to promote support for the establishment of cooperatives. They introduced cases of cooperative operation in construction and discussed business models and establishment directions through consultations with construction professionals, the foundation announced on the 16th.
Since 2020, the foundation has supported the establishment of cooperatives targeting trainees who participated in skilled construction worker training to strengthen the self-reliance of construction skilled workers. Currently, four construction skilled workers' cooperatives?Olbareum, Iljari Huimangnanum, Hanguk Meister, and Saeuri?have been established and are active.
The foundation especially provided basic education (2 hours), advanced education (2 hours), and consulting (4 sessions) to support the establishment of cooperatives.

Meanwhile, to solve the construction workforce supply issue, since 2019, the foundation has trained over 5,600 construction workers in tile setting, architectural carpentry, formwork carpentry, rebar work, wallpaper film, and more through the "Skilled Construction Worker Training and Employment Support Project."
