He added, "The government will do its utmost to restore services as quickly as possible." After inspecting the data center, he plans to hold a meeting to deliberate on measures to prevent recurrence.

Earlier, a fire broke out on the 15th at the SK Holdings C&C data center housing the IT facilities of Kakao and Naver, causing errors in many Kakao services including KakaoTalk and the portal site Daum, as well as some Naver services, starting around 3:30 PM that day.
