[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Christian Elders Choir performed at Carnegie Hall in the United States on the 9th.
On the 14th, the choir announced that they were invited to perform at the World Milal Praise Festival.
Since its founding in 1987, the Gyeongnam Elders Choir, active in Gyeongnam and various regions nationwide, delivered harmony by passionately singing songs such as "Burning Holy Spirit" on that day.
On the following day, the 10th, they visited the Washington Korean War Veterans Memorial Park to lay flowers and sang the Korean national anthem and the U.S. national anthem.
They visited Yeongnak Church, a Korean church in Toronto, Canada, and performed for Korean congregants and local residents.
At the Toronto Gale Missionary Fellowship Center, they commemorated James Gale’s love for the Korean language, his missionary achievements, and his legacy, and held discussions with related personnel.
Im Myunggon, the preparation committee chairman, said, “Elders from various denominations in the Gyeongnam region visit the Americas and Europe every two years for praise and service, performing concerts and activities. It is very rewarding to be able to share our harmony at Carnegie Hall and visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial Park.”
