NC Cultural Foundation's 10th Anniversary, Emphasizing Future Generations and Creativity
Next Creativity Conference to be Held on the 20th-21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NC Cultural Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary on the 17th.
NC Cultural Foundation is a non-profit foundation established in 2012 by NCSoft to carry out more systematic and sustainable social responsibility activities. With the direction of "consideration for socially vulnerable groups" and "creating value for the qualitative leap of our society," it has carried out various social contribution projects over the past 10 years.
In 2020, it opened a creative activity space for youth called "Projectory" in Daehakro, Seoul. Projectory is a compound word of project and laboratory, a creative activity space where children lead their own projects. It provides an environment and culture where youth can freely ask questions, explore their latent potential, and realize what they want. Since it values self-directedness and autonomy, there are no regular class programs or instructors.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, NC Cultural Foundation is preparing the "Next Creativity Conference 2022 (NCC2022)." The conference, themed "Future Generation" and "Creativity," will be held at the NC Cultural Foundation building from October 20 to 21. On the first day of the conference, the keynote speech will be delivered by Esther Wojcicki, a renowned educator from Silicon Valley, USA, and mother of YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, who will speak about what preparations youth should make for the future.
Professor Paul Kim, Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will give a lecture on "Innovation with a Reason," discussing the fundamental passion for pursuing creativity and innovation.
In the afternoon session, there will be a presentation on the achievements of NC Cultural Foundation’s Projectory project and a speech by a youth speaker who was a member of Projectory. A panel discussion on "Better Creative Environments," led by Professor Jongho Shin of the Department of Education at Seoul National University, will follow.
