Save the Children Korea and Diagnostic Business Partnership Agreement
Gimhae City, Gyeongnam, and Save the Children Korea signed a business agreement to promote a project diagnosing the children's play environment in the area.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 13th that it signed a business agreement with Save the Children Korea on the 12th for the 'Our Neighborhood Play Environment Diagnosis Project.'
Save the Children is an international relief and development NGO that works to realize children's rights beyond race, religion, and political ideology.
According to the city, this project was promoted to diagnose the play environment and surrounding conditions of local public children's parks and to establish a plan to improve the play environment suitable for local conditions based on the diagnosis results.
Children living in the area and citizen investigators, who know the local conditions better than anyone else, will conduct a full survey of play spaces and evaluate the play environment diagnosis results with experts to improve the play environment.
Through this agreement, the city will form a children's investigation team to provide administrative support for the survey, and Save the Children Korea will be responsible for diagnosing the play environment, collecting expert opinions, and holding performance reporting sessions.
The survey is scheduled to be conducted from October to December next year, targeting 155 children's parks in the jurisdiction.
Based on the project results, the city plans to improve the play environment of children's parks and provide specialized children's parks tailored to each region.

A city official said, "This survey is significant in that it reflects the voices of children, the true owners of children's parks, and local residents," adding, "Through the diagnosis project, we will provide specialized children's parks by region, promote children's rights, and continuously create a safe play environment befitting the province's first UNICEF Child-Friendly City."
