Nongshim Collaborates with Consumers in the Metaverse to Create New Shin Ramyun Product
Limited Edition Product with Consumer-Selected Options to be Released on Zepeto
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nongshim announced on the 12th that it has opened a Shin Ramyun Cafeteria on the metaverse platform ‘Zepeto’ and will collaborate with consumers to create a new Shin Ramyun product. Nongshim plans to offer a virtual experience where consumers can choose options according to their preferences to cook ramen, and apply the most popular options to an actual product, which will be released as a limited edition early next year.
The Shin Ramyun Cafeteria introduced by Nongshim allows consumers to virtually experience the entire ramen cooking process in the kitchen, such as picking up a pot, filling it with water, boiling it, and adding ingredients. After cooking, consumers can take the finished ramen to the restaurant and enjoy comparing it with ramen made by other consumers, adding an element of fun.
In particular, Nongshim enabled consumers to customize their ramen by adjusting the spiciness level of the soup powder, the chewiness of the noodles, the type of dried vegetable soup, and whether to add an egg, according to their individual tastes during the cooking process. Nongshim will hold the ‘Best Ramen Cooking Contest’ event at the Shin Ramyun Cafeteria until the 31st of this month, and plans to release a limited edition Shin Ramyun Big Bowl applying the options most frequently chosen by consumers during the cooking process.
