[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] On the morning of the 11th, President Yoon Seok-yeol sent a request for a confirmation hearing to the National Assembly for Lee Ju-ho, the nominee for Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education.
A senior official from the Presidential Office explained this to reporters at the Yongsan Presidential Office in the afternoon.
The nominee is scheduled to undergo a confirmation hearing process at the National Assembly's Education Committee soon. According to the National Assembly Confirmation Hearing Act, the National Assembly must complete the adoption of the confirmation hearing report within 20 days from the date of submission of the appointment consent proposal, that is, by the 31st of this month.
