Assemblyman Lee Gae-ho Secures 10.3 Billion KRW in Special Grants for the Second Half of 2022
Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Jangseong 4 Counties 14 Projects Totaling 10.3 Billion KRW
First Special Grant Secured Since the Launch of the 8th Local Government, Boosting Local Issues and Disaster Prevention Projects

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Lee Gaeho, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Jangseong), announced on the 11th that he secured a total of 10.3 billion KRW for 14 projects across 4 counties through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's special grants for the second half of 2022.
At an important time, about 100 days after the launch of the 8th local government administration, this is the first special grant secured through close cooperation with each county, which is expected to greatly help resolve urgent local issues and disaster safety projects that have been needed.
First, Damyang County secured 2.5 billion KRW for five projects: ▲ 500 million KRW for the maintenance of the hazardous road from Damyang Hakdong to Geumseong Oechu ▲ 500 million KRW for the installation of new CCTV for vulnerable area safety ▲ 500 million KRW for the expansion and paving of the entrance road to Wolpyeong Village ▲ 500 million KRW for the expansion and paving of Rural Road No. 305 ▲ 500 million KRW for the reconstruction of Dongsan Bridge.
Hampyeong County secured a total of 2.8 billion KRW for ▲ 600 million KRW for the creation of convenience facilities for residents in Jupo Hanok Village ▲ 700 million KRW for the maintenance of disaster-risk areas in Sonbul Seokchang District ▲ 900 million KRW for the maintenance of Samchuk Small Stream in Nasan-myeon ▲ 600 million KRW for the installation of a roundabout at Donghampyeong IC intersection.
Additionally, Yeonggwang County had 2.5 billion KRW reflected for three projects: ▲ 500 million KRW for the installation of outdoor performance facilities at Hongnong-eup Welfare Center ▲ 1 billion KRW for the expansion and paving of Rural Road Baeksu No. 206 (Cheonma to Geumja section) ▲ 1 billion KRW for the construction of Godoljae county-planned road.
Jangseong County also secured 2.5 billion KRW, including ▲ 2 billion KRW in special grants for the Family Center construction project and ▲ 500 million KRW allocated for the improvement of hazardous facilities on Buhung 2 Bridge small bridge.

Representative Lee Gaeho said, “I hope that the special grants secured through the efforts and close cooperation of the four county governors, who started their new terms amid COVID-19 and difficult economic conditions, will provide relief in solving local issues.” He added, “As the National Assembly review of the 2023 government budget is scheduled soon, I will do my best to secure and increase national budget allocations for regional development through close cooperation with the four counties.”
