Jeil Pharmaceutical Signs Business Agreement with French Environmental Company Veolia to Establish Eco-Friendly Smart Factory

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Jeil Pharmaceutical announced on the 11th that it has signed a business agreement with the global environmental specialist company Veolia to promote the "Energy Efficiency for Sustainable Growth" project.
According to this agreement, Jeil Pharmaceutical and Veolia expect to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 5% and cut energy costs by over 10% compared to the current levels through energy optimization and investment in replacing aging facilities at the Baekam production plant in Yongin.
Founded in France in 1853, Veolia has a solid eco-friendly business portfolio, including customized solutions for water treatment, energy management, and waste recycling. With approximately 220,000 employees worldwide, it recorded sales of about 38.4 billion euros (approximately 52 trillion KRW) last year and operates in more than 45 countries as a multinational corporation.
