Gochang-gun, Recruiting Students for Senior Smartphone Usage Training Course
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] The Gochang County Library in Jeonbuk announced on the 11th that it will open a ‘Senior Smartphone Utilization Education’ program for smartphone users aged 50 and over and recruit students.
This program, designed for smartphone users aged 50 and over to improve digital literacy among information-vulnerable groups and bridge the digital gap between generations, will be held every Thursday at 10 a.m. from the 3rd of next month to the 12th, for a total of five sessions.
In addition to basic smartphone functions, the program will focus on practical features useful in daily life, such as voice phishing prevention, kiosk usage, and camera operation.
Oh Misook, Director of the County Culture and Arts Department, said, “This program was planned to eliminate the elderly’s fear of digital products like kiosks in the accelerated digital era due to COVID-19 and to provide opportunities for intergenerational communication. We ask for your great interest and participation.”
Registration and inquiries are available through the integrated reservation system on the website and by phone.
