Hyundai Card Launches Korea's First Influencer-Exclusive 'Inflcar Hyundai Card'
Cashback Provided for Over 100 Influencers Posting Photos on Instagram After Using Partner Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Card announced on the 11th that it has launched 'Inflca Hyundai Card,' the first influencer-exclusive card in Korea that offers cashback based on social media activity.
In June, Hyundai Card recognized the potential for business expansion through influencer marketing and became a strategic investor in the influencer marketing platform 'MARKETIT.' Through a partnership with MARKETIT, Hyundai Card plans to build a new ecosystem where both credit card users and affiliated merchants can win-win based on influencer marketing.
According to Hyundai Card, there are approximately 150,000 influencers currently active in the domestic marketing market, and the influencer marketing market size is expected to reach about 7 trillion KRW. Recently, the market has been focusing on 'micro-influencers' who have a relatively small number of followers but a large number of loyal followers. It is estimated that over 20 million social media users in Korea have more than 100 followers.
Hyundai Card and MARKETIT actively reflected these trends in designing the Inflca Hyundai Card. The Inflca Hyundai Card is characterized by influencers with more than 100 followers on the social media platform Instagram posting content related to affiliated stores and receiving cashback benefits.
Inflca Hyundai Card members receive cashback by purchasing goods with the Inflca Hyundai Card at about 100 affiliated stores listed in the INFLCA application, including Amorepacific, CJ CGV, and Park Hyatt Seoul, and sharing photos on Instagram. Cashback is provided up to 100% of the payment amount depending on the affiliate and the number of followers.
Members also receive point accumulation benefits when using merchants outside of Inflca affiliates. Inflca Hyundai Card members can accumulate 10% of the payment amount as M Points when paying in delivery apps, convenience stores, public transportation/taxi, and telecommunications fee sectors. Interest-free installments for up to 3 months are available at all merchants.
