Drunk 20-Year-Old Arrested After Assaulting Pedestrians and Vandalizing Property During 30-Minute Rampage
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s who caused a disturbance by assaulting pedestrians and damaging property while intoxicated in the heart of Seoul has been apprehended by the police.
On the 6th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced that they have arrested and are investigating a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of special assault, property damage, and obstruction of official duties.
Mr. A is accused of indiscriminately assaulting two pedestrians in front of a bar in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, around 9:30 a.m. the previous day, and pulling out a metal pipe used as a tent support nearby to damage a motorcycle's side mirror, glass, flowerpots, and other items.
Mr. A continued his rampage for about 30 minutes, strongly resisting arrest by the responding officers and even biting a police officer's leg inside the transport vehicle.

A police official stated, "The citizens assaulted by Mr. A did not sustain serious injuries," adding, "We plan to investigate the motive and circumstances of the incident through witness statements and analysis of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage."
