Gyeonggi Office of Education to Recruit 1,593 Secondary, Health, Librarian, and Special Education Teachers Next Year
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will select 1,593 candidates for the 2023 'Secondary and Health, Librarian, Professional Counseling, Nutrition, Special (Secondary) Teachers'.
The number of recruits is ▲ Secondary teachers 1,405 ▲ Health teachers 63 ▲ Librarians 4 ▲ Professional counselors 50 ▲ Nutrition 36 ▲ Special (Secondary) teachers 35. In addition, 5 candidates will be selected for National Special (Secondary) Schools, and 157 candidates will be selected through consignment recruitment for private school teachers.
Applications will be accepted from the 17th to the 21st of this month through the Gyeonggi Office of Education's NAIS online recruitment website for teaching staff.
The exam will be conducted in two stages: the first stage on November 26 and the second stage from January 12 to 19 next year. The subjects for the first exam are ▲ Education ▲ Major ▲ Korean History (replaced by the Korean History Proficiency Test). The Gyeonggi Office of Education will select 1.5 times the planned number of recruits through the first exam.
The second exam will be held for those who pass the first exam and includes ▲ Teaching ability evaluation ▲ In-depth interview on teaching aptitude ▲ Practical skills evaluation (only for physical education, music, and art subjects).

The consignment recruitment exam for private school teachers is only conducted for the first stage. The exam schedule and subjects are the same as the public exam. However, private schools select five times the final number of recruits in the first exam, and the second exam and final successful candidates are determined according to the private school's (corporation's) own screening plan.
