Korea Rail Network Authority Announces Recruitment for 'Design Review Subcommittee Members' for Technical Bidding Projects
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 4th that it is publicly recruiting the '9th Design Review Subcommittee Members.'
The recruitment fields include railway planning, civil engineering construction, civil engineering structures, geotechnical foundations, architecture, and machinery. Through the public recruitment, the Rail Network Authority plans to select and appoint around 150 internal and external members.
The appointed members will be responsible for design reviews of technical bid projects such as design-build turnkey and technical proposal bids for projects to be ordered this year, including the 'Shinbundang Line Gwanggyo~Homaesil double-track railway,' 'GTX-B,' and 'Daegu Industrial Line.'
Applications will be accepted via email or electronic documents until the 18th. After receiving applications, the Rail Network Authority will comprehensively review applicants' qualifications, experience, and legal criteria, and plans to finalize the appointees by next month.

Kim Han-young, Director of the Rail Network Authority, said, "The composition of the design review subcommittee members is the first step to securing transparency and fairness in technical bids," adding, "The Rail Network Authority will select review members with expertise and integrity to establish an advanced bidding culture where construction companies with the best design competitiveness succeed in winning contracts and accept the results."
