The Yeongnam Alps, centered around Gajisan, boast nine peaks over 1000 meters above sea level with beautiful mountain terrain and scenery. Every autumn, numerous hikers visit, leading to an increase in mountain accidents.
Because the terrain is as rugged as the Alps, the name it bears, rescuers face difficulties accessing accident sites, making it hard to search for stranded persons. To address this, firefighting drones for life search have been deployed.
With the deployment of drones, rapid and safe searches will be possible even in areas difficult for rescuers to access during mountain distress incidents, greatly aiding life-saving efforts.
