"Jujube Tree Mutual Growth at Stake" SPC Paris Baguette Supports Gyeongsan Jujube Farmers
Helping Gyeongsan Jujube Farmers Facing Challenges Due to Continuous Consumption Decline and Increased Imports
Partnering with Healing Agriculture Farms to Purchase Jujubes Grown by People with Developmental Disabilities and Donate Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] SPC Group's bakery brand Paris Baguette announced on the 30th that it has signed a 'Win-Win Agreement for the Promotion of Gyeongsan Jujube Consumption' with Gyeongsan City, Gyeongbuk Province, and the Gyeongsan Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and will support jujube farmers in the Gyeongsan region.
This win-win agreement is part of SPC Group's 'Happy Win-Win Project,' which supports the future growth of agriculture by purchasing agricultural products from local farmers facing difficulties and launching products using them. It was promoted to help Gyeongsan jujube farmers who are struggling due to continuous consumption decline caused by changing food culture and the increase of imported jujubes.
Through this agreement, Paris Baguette plans to launch products using jujubes to promote the excellence of domestic jujubes and strive to open up various possibilities for jujube utilization according to changing consumer tastes. The purchased jujubes include those grown directly by people with developmental disabilities in connection with Baram Haetsal Farm, which practices healing agriculture (a project that promotes social and physical health through agricultural activities), adding more meaning to the win-win cooperation.
On this day, Paris Baguette donated Gyeongsan jujube happy win-win products to facilities for people with developmental disabilities and plans to sponsor part of the proceeds from product sales in the future.
The Gyeongsan jujube happy win-win products are characterized by a harmonious blend of subtle sweetness and savory texture using Gyeongsan jujubes. These include 'Jujube Walnut Pound Cake,' 'Jujube Walnut Pie,' 'Jujube Walnut Madeleine,' and 'Manwol Bread Jujube Walnut Sandwich.'
A Paris Baguette official said, "The Happy Win-Win Project will steadily expand its base through various activities that go beyond purchasing and productization of agricultural products to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products and expand positive influence."
