View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Samsung Electronics, which pioneered the 'White Induction' era in the Korean kitchen appliance market, announced on the 30th that it will hold a customer appreciation event for the 2nd anniversary of the launch of the 'Bespoke Induction' throughout next month.
Samsung Electronics revealed that two out of three electric ranges sold this year were Bespoke Inductions. They explained that the differentiated design and smart cooking functions have earned consumer love.
During the event period, customers who purchase Samsung's 2022 model Bespoke Induction will receive benefits such as cashback or points worth approximately 150,000 KRW, depending on the retailer. There is also a trade-in promotion offering benefits worth about 100,000 KRW when customers return their old gas cooktop or electric range after purchasing the new product.
The promotion also allows customers to choose a color other than white for the Bespoke front control panel. When purchasing event models including the newly released Glam Evening Coral and Morning Blue this year, as well as Gray, Pink, Peach, Beige, and Vanilla, an additional benefit worth about 50,000 KRW is provided.
First introduced in 2020, the Bespoke Induction broke the stereotype of induction cooktops being all 'black tops.' Thanks to the 'white top' and stylish colors filling the front control panel, it was able to pioneer the white induction market.
The 2022 model Bespoke Induction is praised not only for its design but also for its powerful heating and excellent cooking performance. For example, it applies a 'Dual Ring Large Burner' that evenly distributes heat even to large cookware with a diameter of about 28cm.
Considering the convenience of the emerging main consumer group, the MZ generation (born early 1980s to early 2000s), various 'Smart Cook' functions such as 'Scan Cook' have also been introduced.
Scan Cook is a function of the Bespoke Induction where scanning the barcode of meal kits or ready meals with the 'SmartThings' app sends optimal cooking values such as temperature and time to the Bespoke Induction.
Hwang Taehwan, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, "Bespoke Induction has created the 'White Induction' trend in Korea and has received much love from consumers over the past two years. We will continue to satisfy diverse consumer demands with advanced design and functions."
