Gyeonggi Fire Department Takes 1st Place in 'Rescue Tactics' at National Firefighting Skills Competition

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that it took first place nationwide in the rescue tactics category at the "35th National Firefighting Skills Competition" held from the 27th to the 29th at the Central Fire Academy in Gongju, Chungnam.
This year's competition featured contests in a total of 7 categories and 11 events, including 5 categories with 8 events such as rescue tactics, fire tactics, emergency medical tactics, strongest firefighter, and fire investigation, as well as 2 categories with 3 events for volunteer firefighters. About 600 firefighters and volunteer firefighters from across the country participated. From Gyeonggi-do, about 150 participants, including the team and volunteer firefighters, competed.
In particular, the five participants who took first place nationwide in the rescue tactics category?Fire Lieutenant Lee Jae-hwan (Gimpo Fire Station), Fire Sergeant Jo Jun-ho (Gwangju Fire Station), Fire Sergeant Lee Young-seok (Yongin Fire Station), and Firefighters Son Seong-su and Yoo Dong-ho (Icheon Fire Station)?were honored with special promotions.
