'Taeil' Wins Grand Prize at the 18th Seoul Indie-AniFest
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The animated film Taeeil won the Grand Prize (Milinae Star) in the feature film category at the 18th Seoul Indie Animation Fest.
Seoul Indie Animation Fest is the only independent animation film festival in South Korea and the only animation film festival in Asia. A total of 101 works were selected as finalists across five competitive categories. The feature film category, called ‘Milinaero,’ was newly established this year, and Taeeil (director Hong Junpyo) was honored with the award.

Previously, Taeeil received the Jury Special Prize at the 46th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the Audience Award at the 26th Fantasia International Film Festival, the Focus Award (Grand Prize) in the feature Kids Focus category at the 10th Seoul International Children’s Film Festival, and the Art Award at the 2nd Korea Animation Artist Awards during the Gwangju Web Animation Festival ’WAF2022’.
