The opening ceremony was attended by Yeongdo District Office officials, Jang Hee-sik, head of Sinseon-dong, Yeongdo District, Lee Hae-seok, private chairman of the Sinseon-dong Community Security Council, and BPA officials.
The ‘Sharing Refrigerator’ is a food sharing and support project where local residents voluntarily donate food ingredients and anyone can take them for free, enabling continuous support for neighbors in need around the area.
The ‘Sharing Refrigerator’ will be operated regularly from the 28th on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sinseon Happiness Center located in Sinseon-dong, Yeongdo District.
Donatable items include fresh ingredients that are not cooked and processed foods. Alcohol, medicines, perishable foods, and foods close to their expiration date are excluded from donations.
BPA supported the space setup by providing refrigerators and display shelves, and plans to actively collaborate with the district office to revitalize the Happiness Filling Sharing Refrigerator in the future.
