Hancom Launches Cloud-Based Subscription Service 'Hancom Docs'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Hancom announced on the 28th that it has launched the cloud-based subscription service 'Hancom Docs.'
'Hancom Docs' is a subscription service rather than a package software (SW) purchase method. Users can use the latest versions of Hangul and Office SW across various IT environments such as PC, mobile, and web by paying only 6,900 KRW per month or 49,000 KRW per year (for personal use) for the desired period. Free members can only use the service on mobile and web.
In particular, the web-based document editing services Web Hangul and Web Office allow users to edit documents anytime and anywhere through login as long as they are connected to the internet, without installing any separate programs. It applies an intuitive UI/UX to enhance usability and provides features such as document co-editing, the survey service 'Hanform,' and storage space.
The PC license allows installation of Windows versions of Hangul and Hancom Office (Hanword, Hancell, Hanshow) and macOS version of Hangul on up to five PCs, and document viewing and editing functions can also be used through mobile applications.
Hancom plans to analyze various user data through cloud-based Hancom Docs and actively and promptly promote service advancement.
Kim Byung-gi, Head of Hancom Strategic Planning Headquarters, said, "In addition to Hancom Docs, we plan to launch new services within this year to actively expand the B2C market," and added, "As the public sector's cloud transition is spreading recently, we will proactively respond to changes in the public market."
