Busan Bank Launches Web-Based 'Mobile Branch' Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 27th that it has launched a web-based mobile branch service combining the convenience of digital banking with the analog sensibility of physical branches starting from the 26th.
The mobile branch service is a digital financial channel that allows customers to conduct banking tasks such as opening savings and deposit accounts, credit card and check card applications at a virtual branch without installing a separate mobile banking application.
At each Busan Bank branch, employees can decorate their information using characters and register neighboring stores to promote local businesses, allowing direct customization of the mobile screen images to communicate with customers. They also provide differentiated specialized services by directly registering recommended products and various events for customers.
To use the mobile branch service, customers can search for "Busan Bank" on portal sites (such as Naver or Daum) via their smartphones, select the desired branch from the homepage, and access the mobile branch.
The mobile branch can also be accessed through URLs sent from each Busan Bank branch. Park Bong-woo, Head of Marketing Promotion at Busan Bank, stated, "The mobile branch service is convenient not only for the MZ generation familiar with mobile devices but also for senior customers who are reluctant to use mobile banking apps. Going forward, Busan Bank will continue to expand various marketing channels to become a bank that is friendly and convenient for non-face-to-face customers."
