Wonju City Urges Use of Volume-Based Waste Bags with Embedded 'QR Code'
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Wonju City in Gangwon Province urged citizens to use volume-based waste bags embedded with QR codes and to familiarize themselves with the usage methods.
According to the city on the 27th, when the QR code printed on the volume-based waste bag is scanned with a mobile phone, it connects to the city hall website where detailed information on waste disposal methods by type and disposal times can be checked.
The city has been supplying citizens with volume-based waste bags printed with QR codes since August.

Park Sang-hyun, Head of the Living Resources Division of Wonju City, said, "We have prepared a way for citizens to easily check waste disposal methods using QR code volume-based waste bags," adding, "We will create a pleasant and clean urban environment through various promotions and guidance on household waste."
