The event, under the slogan ‘Crossing the Bridge,’ will run for four days until the 22nd.
Hosted by the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association, the Korea Arts Council, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and sponsored by Hyundai Motor Group, the ‘Jeju Hebichi Art Festival’ began in 2008 and has become the largest cultural and arts festival in Korea, with about 135,000 participants including cultural and arts professionals nationwide, Jeju citizens, and tourists through last year.
Hyundai Motor Group has participated annually as a sponsor, providing a platform for communication among cultural and arts professionals nationwide and presenting high-quality cultural performances, contributing to establishing the ‘Jeju Hebichi Art Festival’ as a representative art market-type festival in Korea.
The ‘Art Market’ is a core program of the ‘Jeju Hebichi Art Festival,’ offering cultural and arts organizations the opportunity to promote their main activities and business items through booth exhibitions. This year, 157 cultural centers and 234 arts organizations set up booths and participated in the exhibition.
In particular, at this year’s festival, Hyundai Motor Group invited three cultural and arts-related social enterprise teams selected through the group’s startup nurturing program, ‘H-OnDream Startup Ground,’ supporting their booth exhibitions at the ‘Art Market’ to widely promote their activities to cultural and arts professionals.
Additionally, in connection with the festival, Hyundai Motor Group held the ‘Musical Gala Concert with Hyundai Motor Group’ on the 18th at the Seogwipo Arts Center, featuring performances by recipients of the group’s representative social contribution projects.
