Gwangju Dong-gu Conducts 'Visiting VR Experiential Safety Education'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that it will conduct 'Visiting VR (Virtual Reality) Experiential Safety Education' for elementary school students in the district to promote safety awareness among growing children.
The 'VR Experiential Safety Education' is a program designed to help students learn through experience how to protect their bodies safely and respond appropriately to various safety accidents. It consists of three main areas: ▲ cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) simulator ▲ fire extinguisher usage for fire suppression ▲ safety situation evacuation drills.
The visiting safety education will begin at Gyelim Elementary School on the 20th and continue until October 25th at Jungang Elementary School, covering six elementary schools in the district (Gyelim, Yongsan, Gwangju Nam, Hakun, Dongsan, Jungang), with sessions held at each school.

District Mayor Lim Taek said, "I hope that the VR-based education, which combines fun and engaging elements, will help children develop the ability to respond to safety accidents and raise their awareness." He added, "We will continue to provide education that helps in daily life to create an environment where residents can live with peace of mind."
