Titleist 2023 TSR Driver “Maximizing Ball Speed”
[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae]
Titleist has newly introduced the 2023 TSR series (photo) drivers. The models released this time include three lines: TSR2, TSR3, and TSR4.
The TSR2 offers a high launch angle and low spin. It focuses on forgiveness. The core technology is the new VFT (Variable Face Thickness) applied to the ATI titanium face. The thickness across the face is strategically increased to create multiple layers. According to the company, this widens the sweet spot and ensures fast ball speed and stability.
The TSR3 features an adjustable head. It is a model preferred by tour players. This model adopts Speed Ring Face technology. The face perimeter is made thicker, and the center of the face is thinner to maximize ball speed. It increases the moment of inertia (MOI) without enlarging the head size.
The TSR4 is a low launch and low spin head. It has relatively less forgiveness, making it suitable for advanced players. The head size is also the smallest at 430cc. It features interchangeable front and back weights.
