The topic of his doctoral dissertation is "A Study on the Impact of the Agricultural Food Mother Fund on Venture Capital Investment in Agri-food Companies in Korea." The dissertation includes an empirical analysis showing that Korea's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries food industry has grown significantly through venture capital, a form of venture capital investing in unlisted companies.
In the investment in the agri-food sector, which is marginalized in the general venture capital market, the study analyzed the impact of expectations for the expansion of government public investment resources on the increased interest of venture capitalists, based on a survey conducted among investment officers active in the capital market. Subsequently, additional in-depth interviews were conducted with specialized venture capital investment officers managing agri-food investment associations, and the results were reflected.
Furthermore, the study empirically analyzed the impact of the increase in such investment scale on the financial and non-financial growth (sales and employment growth) of agri-food companies, and the relationship between special purpose funds with a high government investment ratio and the growth of agri-food companies, using statistical data from agri-food funds established over the past 11 years.

Head Jeong Seongbong stated, "Continuous research and the collection, processing, and analysis of statistical data on subsidies, loans, and investments in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries food sector are necessary," and added, "From a practical perspective, I suggested strengthening the promotion of the Agricultural Food Mother Fund, an advanced financial system, targeting agri-food management entities and investors (LPs)." He further added, "From a policy perspective, I proposed expanding the scale of agri-food fund formation and establishing a virtuous cycle investment ecosystem."
