View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 15th, Eun-joo Lee, Emergency Committee Chairperson of the Justice Party, held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Hall to propose the "Yellow Envelope Act" (Amendment to the Trade Union Act). The "Yellow Envelope Act" primarily aims to prevent employers from claiming damages or filing provisional seizures against trade unions and their members even if the unions engage in illegal strike actions. The business community opposes the Yellow Envelope Act, arguing that if the amendment, which effectively grants immunity even for illegal strike actions, passes, it could protect those committing illegal acts and unfairly force only the victimized employers to bear the damages.
