Porsche Officially Launches '911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design' in Korea
Selling Price is 250.4 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Porsche Korea announced on the 15th that it will officially launch the special edition '911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design' in Korea, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Porsche Design.
Inspired by the iconic design of Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the founder of Porsche Design and the designer of the Porsche 911, the ‘911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design’ will be produced in a limited run of 750 units worldwide.
Based on the current 992 generation ‘911 Targa 4 GTS’, this special edition reinterprets the classic design in a modern way, applying black color elements reminiscent of the legendary ‘Chronograph 1’, the first Porsche Design product designed by F.A. Porsche in 1972, to both the interior and exterior. The ‘911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design’ is offered in black, with Jet Black Metallic available as an option.
The Targa bar features a satin-finished platinum color, and the ‘Porsche Design’ decoration film on the doors is provided in a contrasting color. It is equipped with the same wheels as the 911 Turbo S (20-inch front, 21-inch rear), with rims finished in satin platinum and brake calipers in high-gloss black. The special edition features a ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary Edition’ badge on the rear lid grille slats. The ‘911’ logo on the rear apron is also in black.
The classic checkered Sports-Tex seat center panels and the red second hand of the Porsche Design Subsecond, included with the Sports Chrono Package, evoke a sense of nostalgia. The 18-way electrically adjustable adaptive sports seats plus with memory package, included with the Sports Chrono Package, are standard equipment.
The GT sports steering wheel, finished in leather, features a slate gray color accent at the 12 o’clock position, matching the seat belts. The ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary’ logo in black anodized aluminum finish is applied to the door sill guards, and the same logo is engraved on the headrests. The ‘911’ lettering on the right side of the dashboard and the unique serial number of the limited edition model add to the exclusivity of the special edition.
Additionally, a newly crafted version of the legendary Chronograph 1, specially made for customers purchasing the ‘911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design’, will be introduced. Features such as the edition number and wheel-shaped winding rotor emphasize the unique characteristics of the ‘911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design’.
