On the day, Governor Park, along with Hong Taeyong, Mayor of Gimhae, visited the Oedong Traditional Market in Gimhae, directly purchasing ritual fruits and other items to grasp the prices and supply of Chuseok seasonal products.
He met with merchants to observe price trends and listen to their difficulties.
Governor Park said, “We will continue to show interest and support to revitalize traditional markets so that we can be a source of strength for merchants struggling due to COVID-19 and rising prices,” adding, “I ask all residents to participate actively by using traditional markets frequently to help invigorate the local economy.”
Next, at Hanmaeum Academy, a welfare facility for the disabled in Daecheong-dong, Gimhae, he chatted with facility users while producing vocational rehabilitation products for the disabled and delivered consolation gifts along with the fruits purchased earlier at the market.
Governor Park urged officials, “Please pay careful attention so that facility users who cannot be with their families during the Chuseok holiday can have a warm holiday.”
