Emergency Rooms in Gyeongnam Province Open 24 Hours Even During Chuseok Holidays!
Health Centers, Hospitals, Clinics, Pharmacies, and Screening Clinics Also Operate by Date
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do will operate an emergency medical system during the Chuseok holiday from the 9th to the 12th.
The province will operate 51 emergency and on-call medical institutions and general hospital emergency rooms 24 hours a day as usual to minimize emergency medical service gaps within the province during the holiday period.
About 2,400 locations including public health centers, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies will designate and operate medical institutions by date during the holiday period.
143 screening clinics for residents with suspected COVID-19 symptoms and 551 integrated (one-stop) medical institutions will also continue to operate by date.
To prepare for a large number of patients due to disaster situations, rapid response teams at public health centers and disaster medical support teams at disaster base hospitals such as Samsung Changwon Hospital, Gyeongsang National University Hospital, and Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital will be organized and kept on standby.
The province will promote information on medical institutions and pharmacies open during the Chuseok holiday and COVID-19 screening clinics by sending text messages and posting notices at large marts and places where many people gather.
This information can be obtained by phone through the Health and Welfare Call Center, Emergency Situation Management Center, city and provincial call centers, or checked on the Emergency Medical Portal, Ministry of Health and Welfare’s emergency medical information smartphone app, internet portals, and provincial and city/county websites.
The emergency medical information app ‘E-gen’ can be downloaded for free from app stores or portal sites and allows users to check the status of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies around their location on a map.
It also provides information such as treatment hours, medical departments, locations of automated external defibrillators (AED), and emergency treatment guidelines.
