DB Insurance Wins Nationwide Quality Circle Competition for 6 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] DB Insurance announced on the 7th that it has won awards for six consecutive years for the first time in the financial industry at the 48th National Quality Control Circle Competition.
Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Institute of Technology and Standards and Gyeongsangbuk-do, this competition was held from August 29 to September 2.
DB Insurance won the highest award, the Gold Prize, in both the service sector and the social value creation sector, and the Silver Prize in the creative improvement sector and the office indirect sector.
The ‘SmarT-UBI Team’ in the social value creation sector won the Gold Prize in 2017, and from 2019 to 2021, won the Gold Prize for three consecutive years in the office indirect sector.
In this competition, the Gold Prize was awarded in recognition of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to automobile mileage settlement tasks through collaboration with startups via open innovation.
The ‘GinChulJeopSu Self-Up Team’, which participated in the service sector, also won the Gold Prize for the third consecutive time. This year, by expanding the use of digital media in customer contact tasks, it achieved first place in the industry in the KS-CQI, the customer consultation center evaluation index.

The ‘BaroChulDong Team’ in the creative improvement sector and the ‘ChamSwiUn GeunJae Insurance Team’ in the office indirect sector, both Silver Prize winners, were highly evaluated for newly applying AI analysis models based on big data to automobile accident investigation and occupational selection in the workers' compensation insurance sector, respectively.
