The Earl Grey Highball and Lemon Tonic Highball set a record by selling out within about a month of their launch. Except for small quantities of stock remaining in some stores, these two products are no longer available for purchase in most stores nationwide. This was 2 to 3 times faster than the originally planned stock depletion period.
The idea for these products came from buyer Jang Joo-hyun, who noticed that the Earl Grey Highball recipe was trending on social networking services (SNS). Instead of making it with difficulty, the thought was to create a fully prepared RTD (Ready to Drink) product so that customers could simply pour it into an ice-filled glass and enjoy a decent highball.
Seolbing Injeolmi Makgeolli has ranked first in both cumulative sales volume and revenue in the makgeolli category since its launch in March. It has never relinquished the top spot, surpassing strong competitors such as the so-called absolute leaders ‘Seoul Jangsu Saeng Makgeolli’ and ‘Baesangmyeonju-ga Neurin Maeul Saeng Makgeolli.’ Recently, Dangdang Chicken, which has become a hot issue, was also actively promoted by buyer Choi Yoo-jung from the Deli Business Team, who joined in January this year.
Homeplus plans to continuously introduce trendy new products that satisfy the new experiences sought by the MZ generation, solidifying a younger image, thanks to the active efforts of young buyers.
