The Korea Federation of SMEs announced the results of the 'Public Awareness Survey on the Delivery Price Linkage System' conducted with 1,000 citizens on the 6th. This survey was carried out to understand public perception of the burden of delivery payments due to rising raw material prices and opinions on the legislation of the Delivery Price Linkage System.
According to the survey, 97.9% of citizens responded that establishing a fair delivery transaction environment between large and small-medium enterprises is 'important' for economic growth.
Regarding the government's role in creating a fair delivery transaction environment, 94.8% answered that it is 'necessary' (very necessary 51.5% + necessary 43.3%).
When asked whether the introduction of the Delivery Price Linkage System is needed to address the reality where small-medium enterprises do not receive fair prices amid rising raw material costs, 95.4% of citizens responded 'necessary' (very necessary 43.5% + necessary 51.9%).
The reasons for needing the linkage system (multiple responses allowed) were: △Creating a fair trade environment (53.6%) △Fostering a culture of win-win cooperation (38.1%) △Helping small-medium enterprises receive fair delivery prices (29.2%), in that order.

Yang Chan-hoe, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at the Korea Federation of SMEs, stated, "Since leaving the Delivery Price Linkage System to goodwill or autonomy between companies has its limits, we hope that the Delivery Price Linkage System bill, agreed upon by both ruling and opposition parties, will be promptly passed through the National Assembly's Special Committee on People’s Livelihood."
