Hyundai Mobis Baggage Transport Vehicle Wins Grand Prize at Hydrogen Industry Exhibition Media Awards
Hyundai Mobis Hydrogen Fuel Cell Hydrated Cargo Transport Special Vehicle M-Vision Tug
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] The H2 MEET (formerly Hydrogen Mobility+ Show) Organizing Committee announced on the 6th that Hyundai Mobis's 'M.Vision Tug' was selected as the Best Products Media Award Grand Prize at the recently concluded exhibition.
This award is decided by journalists covering the exhibiting companies, considering audience response and market potential. The M.Vision Tug is a special mobility vehicle for baggage transport, equipped with a dolly for cargo carrying connected to a two-person cabin. It features a hydrogen fuel cell and has been praised for its high usability in actual industrial sites due to its load capacity and speed. It received 18 votes out of 50 journalists who participated in the voting.
The Excellence Award went to SK E&S's 'Hydrogen Forklift,' and the Merit Award was given to Hyundai Motor Company's 'Hydrogen Electric Police Bus.' The Hydrogen Forklift, developed after a business agreement with Doosan Bobcat in April and unveiled for the first time, emits no greenhouse gases and can be charged in just three minutes. It can operate for eight hours on a single charge. The Hydrogen Electric Police Bus overcame the drawbacks of existing police buses, which have long dwell times inside and issues with exhaust emissions, and was positively evaluated for its high operational efficiency as a commercial model for public institutions.
Jung Man-ki, the event organizing chairman, explained, "No matter how excellent the technology and products are, if they do not secure popularity, their value is not recognized," adding, "The Media Award focused on popularity and business aspects such as audience response and market potential."
